For my first book unleashed onto the unsuspecting world, I had to write the in-depth version of one of the best tales I've ever come across.  I was inspired by my older sister's POV video series better known to her fans as the "Overdeveloped Stepson" series.  Writing this almost insane scenario brings serious humor to explicit writing, and what's sex without the funny bits?  I hope you enjoy venturing into the mind of this unaware, loving stepmother, her antics, aloofness, and uncanny ability to drive her stepson absolutely to the brink, as much as I loved "being" her in order to write her very own story.

Wow! Realistic Erotic Fiction with a subtle sense of humor

This is the second book I've read by this author, and again she has completely nailed the subtleties of realistic erotic fiction.
There is an element of tongue in cheek humor that I've never seen so well written in erotica before.

I guarantee this book will turn you on, and probably make you smile too - how rare is that?

Definitely worth the price, I hope she writes more in this style - very original!

Overdeveloped stepsons and entertainment centers

A stepmother must deal with a young man's rather convenient medical "problem". Gotta tread carefully with the description here, but let's just say the kid has physical dimensions approximating a horse, and perhaps gobbles a bottle of vitamin E per day with a dozen oysters, washing that down with Spanish Fly. Ms. Tirrell doesn't waste time with extraneous details ... though perhaps the real problem is that her (not really) ingenuous stepmother cleans the house in short skirts and high heels and admits in the narration that her bosom is "not designed for housework". The young man's natural "reaction" frightens the lady; she takes him to the doctor. Diagnosis: he's "overdeveloped". Somehow, a solution is found. Meanwhile, I enjoyed the complaint about the absent husband's "god-awful, giant entertainment center taking up half the room". I share Ms. Tirrell's contempt for overpriced and unnecessary electronics encased in pasteboard furniture.

Nice story about a mother's love for her over developed son who needs (under doctor's orders) to be relieved. This theme is not new, so I give it four stars. Tina's writing is excellent however and I look forward to more of her work.

A "Must Have" refrigeration book. Buy two !

If you've done some HVAC work but find yourself stumped the first time you work on a freezer or frig, then you need this book!. This is a world of oil losses, hard to know line pressures, strange refrigerant valves and controls and head masters, etc. And this book will explain them all to you with lots of plain talk, plain examples, great drawings, and even a cd-rom of animation. And best of all, it has a page of "Rules of Thumb", such as; High Efficieny (seer) condenser splits = 20 degrees and below. And since refrigerant recovery of freezers and frig's are far more common place than HVAC work, it covers several methods of evacuation and recovery. This book has lots of troubleshooting notes and lots of pictures and all the basics of refrigeration from motors, capillarys, TEV'S and defrosters through superheat and critical charging and so much more. I own many hvac books and this one absolutely stands out as a 'must have' book ! Another good book to have when you want to "master" the trade, is Technician's Guide to Refrigeration Systems'by Corinchock. And of course, Troubleshooting and Servicing Modern Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems by Tomczyk. Warning that Tomczyk's book is sold as several books, each with a few chapters, so only buy the complete book I mentioned above, else you will have duplicate text.

I have yet to finish it but its still worth the read so far

This is my personal testimony: I attended undergrad and was kicked out of school for bad grades, got back in and finished. Started working for a major telecom company and now being there for almost 5yrs, with no change in title after the work I have contributed, I have made the decision to quit working for corporate america and started my own businesses (digital/print media and day trading). I am enrolled in grad school full time working on two Masters degrees and possibly for a PhD in Comp Sci. Neither of my parents attended college. I am a first generation college student, and my older sister went back and has now became a teacher in medicine, my grandfather, my mother and father (before he passed), aunts, uncles and plenty of other relatives are entrepreneurs in their own respective fields. So quite naturally the bug bit me too. I can't stand working for a major corporation, no control, you are in a rat race, its always about the bottom line, no freedom and the list could go on.

I said all of that to say this, I have never thought that being a successful person is wrong nor spiritually damaging but, like the bible says, the love of money is the root of all evil. I also believe that you trying to succeed can follow the same danger because you put more emphasis on being filthy rich, rather than your personal peace and freedom and that's what I don't get when I get up everyday to go to a job that only is worried about the bottom line but tries to care about their employees but because of customer demands and shareholders its tough and you have to "tighten the bootstraps" so to speak. Since i made the decision to become self employed 2 years ago and as I am making my transition out of corporate america, I have used this book as a guiding light for being business minded and also keep your spiritual gifts and fruits intact. I love the fact they use stories of actual people that have hit that wall in fortune and fame when it comes to their success vs their salvation. I also love the fact that its a motivational book and not so much of a spiritual guideline and not too "Holy Ghost, this scripture, that scripture". Its just open and candid stories of people who are no different than anyone else that has struggled with salvation and they tell their story of how they overcome, kind of a personal feel to it. I have other books for the spiritual aspect of my life, this book handles your human aspect. The questions we all have, the everyday struggles we all face and this book is a great tool to let you know that you are running the same race as everyone else and here is how they have faced it. This book was so good, I actually bought one for a friend of mine.

A must read for any Christian business person

Superb and honest. The leaders in this book allow us to see that it was not a cakewalk to achieve what they did. It showed that they understood that anything of true value is seldom reached without a committed effort. Putting our faith in God is what fuels that effort to achieve and pushes through the times when making the easier decision is not the right one.
I refer to this book often when facing challenges in my own business and it has always allowed me to refocus on God and renews my willingness to continue. God bless.

About the Author

Henry Lutz Ehrlich, PhD, is an active retiree with the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York. He earned his PhD in agricultural microbiology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. His research efforts have centered on geomicrobiology since 1959, and he was the editor-in-chief of the Geomicrobiology Journal from 1983-1995 and has been the co-editor-in-chief since 1995.

Andreas Kappler, PhD, is professor of geomicrobiology at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Germany. He received his PhD in environmental microbiology and microbial ecology at the University of Konstanz, Germany. He moved to Tübingen in 2004 to head an Emmy-Noether Junior Research Group in geomicrobiology before being appointed to his current professorship. His research focuses on the formation and transformation of iron (Fe) minerals by Fe (II)-oxidizing and Fe (III)-reducing bacteria, the implications of these processes for the fate of pollutants in soils and sediments, and the deposition of iron minerals on early Earth. His research combines microbial cultivation, molecular biology, fluorescence and electron microscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy, synchrotron-based X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and spectromicroscopy.

Dianne K. Newman, PhD, earned her doctorate in environmental engineering with an emphasis on microbiology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. She gained training in bacterial genetics as a postgraduate scholar at Harvard Medical School. She is professor of biology and geobiology and an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena. She is a member of the American Society of Microbiology and the American Geophysical Union. Her research focuses on understanding the coevolution of anaerobic microbial metabolisms and environmental chemistry. The contexts that motivate her research span ancient sedimentary deposits to chronic infections. Her work is helping to reshape interpretations of ancient molecular fossils as well as redox-active "secondary" metabolites.

About the Author
A prominent psychiatrist, James F. Masterson was born in Pennsylvania and educated at the University of Notre Dame and Jefferson Medical College. As a psychiatrist, Masterson became an authority on the treatment of personality disorders. He founded the Masterson Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in 1977 and he wrote seven influential texts during his career. He died in 2010.

the best book I've read on psychiatry

Masterson is extremely insightful about two common, and until recently considered untreatable, personality disorders: borderline spectrum and narcissism. He helps the reader to understand the etiology of these disorders and how both involve the creation of a false self. What I liked most about this book is that he doesn't treat people with these disorders as if they're an alien species ("crazy people"), while the rest of us are "normal". We all have a little borderline or narcissism in us. This is a compassionate and intelligent book.

The Real Deal

I have read a good deal of Winnicott and Bollas writing about the true self, and it has been enlightening and informative, yet somewhat nebulous. Without realizing it, this probably relates to the fact that coherent theories of the Self are sketchy and incomplete. Masterson masterfully reviews these theories, the confusion between ego and self and "I", then offers a very clear conceptualization of the self, with focus on the Real Self. Far apart from the romantic or mystical connotations one might have, Masterson addresses the components and development of the Real Self, he defines it as such to highlight the role of the Real Self in dealing with reality, and describes a therapeutic technique - and the crucial timing of its use - as a means of supporting self-initiation, especially with borderline and narcissistic personalities. This is a must read for professionals working from a psychodynamic and/or object relations framework. It should have some value for the lay person, although it is not designed as such. A beneficial surprise is Masterson's look at the real self in relationship to creativity - creativity in living and artisitic creativity, as well as a brief review of the fate of the Real Self in different cultures.

a good smart little read

This little book is a power house of information. It is written very concise and the instructions are easy to follow. The book is written in terms that are easy to follow and they are not bogged down with alot of jargon.
The finished product that you create turn out nicely and leave you wanting to make more of your own books. Also a good way to recycle.
