A good book for curious individuals who love reading materials with metaphysical subjects.

Learning to project myself to any destination anytime excites me. It is so amazing that if we would want to, we will be able to make our astral body and consciousness leave our physical body and explore. Besides the excitement and amazing experience, I believe astral projection can strengthen us mentally and can calm us spiritually, if practiced. Somebody told me out-of-body experience is not really dangerous, but as a first-timer, I would like to have a thorough understanding of this matter before actually doing it. This is the very first book I’ve read about this subject and it did not disappoint me. It gave simple and easy to understand explanations about astral projection’s history, techniques and routes. Short but informative read. A good book for curious individuals who love reading materials with metaphysical subjects.

This book will help you realize that you are not your body, and that your consciousness lives on after death. About the Author
Richard Bullock (Ph.D., University of Virginia) is emeritus professor of English at Wright State University, where he directed the writing programs for twenty-eight years and designed the university's writing across the curriculum program and Introduction to College Writing Workshop. In 2012, he was awarded the Trustees' Award for Faculty Excellence, Wright State's highest honor. In addition to The Norton Field Guide to Writing, he is a coauthor of The Little Seagull Handbook.

Michal Brody is a linguist, independent scholar, and lecturer. She was a founding faculty member of the Universidad de Oriente in Yucatán, Mexico, and teaches now at Sonoma State University and San Francisco State University. Her scholarly work centers on language pedagogy and politics in the United States and Mexico. Rajan begins with the Portuguese poet Camões, whose poem celebrating Vasco da Gama’s passage to India becomes, according to its eighteenth-century English translator, the epic of those who would possess India. He closely examines Milton’s treatment of the Orient and Dryden’s Aureng-Zebe, the first English literary work on an Indian subject. Texts by Shelley, Southey, Mill, and Macaulay, among others, come under careful scrutiny, as does Hegel’s significant impact on English imperial discourse. Comparing the initial English representation of its actions in India (as a matter of commerce, not conquest) and its contemporaneous treatment of Ireland, Rajan exposes contradictions that shed new light on the English construction of a subaltern India.

Thomas L. Norman, CPP, PSP, CSC, is an internationally acclaimed security risk management and enterprise-class security system design consultant with experience in the United States, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Mr. Norman has experience in security designs for critical infrastructure including oil and gas terminals, lines, and distribution centers; mass transit and vehicle transportation systems including air security, rail, and marine facilities and systems; long-span suspension and truss bridges; and central banking, utility and financial facilities. Excellent book on electronic security systems

This is probably the best overall book on electronic security systems, not just access control systems. It also provides a very good overview on access portals-doors, gates, etc. I am a CPP and completed the US Army Corps of Engineers electronic security systems school, so I had some good context from which to understand and evaluate this book. Highly recommended for anyone responsible for designing, purchasing, administering, or just wanting to understand access control systems, alarms, video surveillance, or related security systems.

Electronic Security is the Future!

i am an installer, and this book is very methodical in every-way, there is something in this book for everyone, if your into electronic security, don't miss this book.....its detailed and expressed so that one can get a grasp on the technology....some parts are complicated in itself with technology but that's what technology is at times complicated....if you want a job for the next twenty years, get into this business!....i work for a large company that installs, access controls systems and you'd be surprised and some of the creations that go into this stuff, what customers ask for.

Good text for someone entering the field.

This is a nice methodical approach to introducing someone to the basics of Electronic Access Control. I am an industry veteran with over 31 years experience in all aspects of the field. Even though the book was published in 2011 it is already somewhat dated in certain areas. That is not an indictment of the book or the author, it is the rapid moving nature of the business. The only area of the book that I take strong exception to is the chapter on Life Safety and Exit Devices, specifically what Mr. Norman refers to as his opinion of the best way to accomplish fire alarm interface. In my 31 years of design, installation and implementation of fire alarm and access control systems I have never seen fire alarm interface (commonly referred to as "Fire Alarm Override") accomplished in the way that is described in the book, and I would strongly recommend against doing it in that manner. There are far more sophisticated and effective ways to accomplish this in today's world. Other than that I like it, and have recommended it for the text in a class that I am teaching.

If you have read the first book in this series than you must read this latest installment of Dana's adventures with Simon and Ethan. Restraining the Receptionist takes you on an emotional ride that never slows down. Dana must take a hard look at herself and her feelings for these two men. Will she choose to stay or will she choose to go? Only Dana can make that decision but what will it cost her?

I really enjoyed finding out the depth of the emotions that each of these characters has for each other. It was nice to see more of Ethan as a man with feelings and thoughts that are not always sexual, than the mean and threatening dominant that Dana perceives him to be. He truly cares for both Simon and Dana. Seeing Dana grow into the woman she becomes was a good read. It was nice to see her do some soul searching as well. Simon, Ethan and Dana need each other in their lives. The love that they share shines off of the pages. This story delves deeper into their souls than the first book did. We get to know what makes Simon tick and we see Dana grow up and find her heart not just her enjoyment of their games.

Juniper Bell writes an emotional, sexy story full of love and trust. When Dana and Ethan open up there is no stopping them; add in Simon and you have a force to be reckoned with. This was a wonderful story and I cannot wait to see just what Ethan and Simon have in store for Dana next.

Juniper does it again!! Book 2 in "The Receptionist" series takes Dana on a whole new adventure. Dana is a receptionist at Cowell and Dirk, her two bosses treat her well, what more could she ask for? Love, Passion, amazing sex (M/M/F & M/F/M), and a bit of mishap? If you are looking for that you've got the right book.
I fell in love (actually I'm jealous) with Dana's character in book 1- Training the Receptionist. She is a greedy, smart mouthed girl who will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Her relationship with her boss Simon may be an unconventional one but it works for them. But what if .... could it work for all three of them? You gotta read it to find out :) and you will not be sorry you did.

In the second book in the series, while Simon is away, the receptionist will play. Or will she? Well, I mean really...how can she resist Ethan??? She's already in an established sexual relationship with him, but because of the boundaries she and Simon have placed, that means no play while Simon is away. *pouts* Never fear, Ethan is determined to get Dana's pants down. And that he does!

Ethan tempts, teases, and makes Dana jealous. He wants her bad. Dana really wants Ethan too, but she wants to honor he agreement with Simon. Honorable right?! Well, this saucy minx can't stay away from Ethan and guess what happens. Yep, Ethan and Dana have scorching hot sex! Between her developing love for Ethan and breaking her agreement with Simon, she feels conflicted and heads off to see Simon.

So we leave off with a NEW agreement with all parties and even more smokin hot sex! I will say that I'm glad I found this series. Not often do I find a really solid sex and plot story. While it sounds like these little books are all about sex, I really am liking the characters. I would say that Ethan is the most complex character out of the bunch, but Simon and Dana have depth as well.

Again I say, if you don't like M/F/M or M/M sex, you may not want this one. There is some bondage in this book, but it's mild. I'm finishing the third book and it's another scorcher! Definitely worth reading!

A computational perspective on partial order and lattice theory, focusing on algorithms and their applications

This book provides a uniform treatment of the theory and applications of lattice theory. The applications covered include tracking dependency in distributed systems, combinatorics, detecting global predicates in distributed systems, set families, and integer partitions. The book presents algorithmic proofs of theorems whenever possible. These proofs are written in the calculational style advocated by Dijkstra, with arguments explicitly spelled out step by step. The author’s intent is for readers to learn not only the proofs, but also the heuristics that guide these proofs.

About the Author
Vijay K. Garg, PhD, is a Cullen Trust Endowed professor at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on applications of lattice theory to distributed computing. He has worked in the areas of distributed systems and discrete event systems for the past thirty years. Dr. Garg is the author of Elements of Distributed Computing (Wiley, 2002), Concurrent and Distributed Computing in Java (Wiley, 2004) and Modeling and Control of Logical Discrete Event Systems (co-authored with Ratnesh Kumar).
